How can I liven this up?

Well, I`ve been visiting blogger sites for a while, and generally been impressed, but I finally ran into blogger.com today.
Now I feel the sudden, desperate urge to do something to spruce up this site, as blogger lets anyone build something which blows away this current site.

(I do have a moral advantage - I run on Roxen, Postgres and FreeBSD Whereas they run on NT/IIS.

While I may not be able to hit the Heights of net coolness like some people but, I figure I can do something cool.

I should put more effort into the Image Database I have set up, and try to take a couple of pictures a day with my visor . I could even start using the attribute based search I set up for that to let people search these comments.

I should also start doing video stuff again. Right now I only have a couple of videos on line:

I should also finish that Geographic search idea I had for my photo archive - to tag each picture with a location, and allow searches for nearby pictures.

Well, the geographic search is up and running.

It works pretty well, and doesn't place much of a load on the database server, as I use bounding boxes and bounded rtree indices to speed up the search.

I've also linked the picture pages to maps at mapblast - clicking on the mapblast logo should produce a map of the area where the picture was taken. (Assuming I entered the right lat/lon)
