These files are mirrors of video files that linked to by slashdot. I have more bandwidth than I know what to do with, so I figured I'd help ease the load on some overloaded servers out there.

These files were linked to by the story Home Cookin': The Electric CD Acid Test. I have the origional .MOV file, as well as two MPEG versions I made.
I fixed the problem with the MPEG files where the sound didn't work. I'm Sorry if you downloaded one of the broken ones.

Filename  Description  Size (Bytes)
HomeCookin.MOV   Original .MOV file   11942595
HomeCookin-low.mpg   Low Quality MPEG file   9433780
HomeCookin-1024.mpg   1024 Kbit/sec MPEG file   40761539

Roxen seemed to handle the load pretty well. I was sending a couple of gigs a day for a couple of days, and I never saw the load on this machine (FreeBSD, Pentium 120, 96 megs of ram) break .25 - I also didn't notice any apparent slowdown for normal access over my cable modem.
